OBC are working on a contemporary garden room in Sevenoaks. The building will have a crisp finish with the use of a zinc soffit overhang and smooth hardwood decking it will be a beautiful contrast to the Historic farmer’s cottage that occupies the main plot. The garden room will be fitted with a sump pump system to allow for a wet area including shower, wc and basin allowing the client to use this as temporary accommodation whilst the main house project is carried out.
This historic cottage dates back to the eighteen hundreds and is full of charm. The red brick and half peg tile hung façade will be sympathetically continued to create a new two storey side extension. At the rear of the property the existing PVC conservatory will be removed and replaced with a larger aluminum glass house. The inclusion of some large steel will allow some internal walls to be removed and allow a much better open plan living and dining space.
