Last year OBC completed a home refurbishment in the town of Beckenham, London.
The client required a complete refurbishment, which included:
- A new bathroom
- A new kitchen
- The installation of dark oak floors throughout the house
- A solution for their loft roof which was collapsing
- An extension at the back of the house
The loft also required extensive work, as the original loft had it’s main supporting timbers removed. This forced the roof to spread, which then pushed the back wall away from the front (similar to two cards collapsing). To reinforce the loft roof we introduced steels into the loft floor, and also strengthened the supports over the first and ground floor window openings. We used helifix steel bars to reinforce and strengthen all the masonry work.
At the back of the home, we added a single-storey extension. This was added to provide a larger dining area.
The Finished Project
To round off the project, we also performed landscaping work on the surrounding garden area. The house was completely refurbished to a very high standard, and in keeping with its existing style and feel.
